I will be working as a Web Designer in New York City upon graduation. Passionate about app and web design and the impact of music on mood, I also plan to extend my Interactive Multimedia thesis project in the form of a startup.
Take advantage of the College’s resources while you’re here. Join clubs, attend events and guest speaker lectures, meet with professors and connect with alumni—you never know what opportunities may arise. Always find time for hobbies, as they can be lifelong interests or possible career paths.
For two years I was able to serve as President of both AMPD (Association for Music Production and Discussion) and ACM SIGGRAPH (Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques). These IMM-related clubs allowed me to collaborate with, befriend, and mentor students equally passionate about music, design, art, film, animation, and digital fabrication. I had the opportunity to lead a campus event, Haunted Hallway, which fused interactive artwork curated by ACM SIGGRAPH with live AMPD bands. I also thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Addams Family Musical as the solo violinist. It was great collaborating with a cast of talented actors and musicians.
