Mount Holly, NJ
Year of Graduation: 2018
In the Fall, Megan finished her student teaching in Trenton, NJ and is now working on an independent study, researching novice urban music educators and their experiences with isolation. She is involved in multiple ensembles within the department, as well as serving as the President of the TCNJ Pep Band.
After graduation, I plan to teach music, while pursuing my master’s degree in Music Education.
Take every opportunity you can to step out of your comfort zone and get involved in something new.
To me, the School of the Arts and Communication, and particularly the Music Department, is a place where the faculty work incredibly hard to support their students’ passions. The opportunity to be involved in every ensemble, regardless of primary instrument, is one that has meant so much to me over the course of my four years here. Because of the opportunities we have been given, I feel incredibly well-prepared to excel as a music educator upon graduation.
