TCNJ Alert: Power update: class cancelation, housing, dining, registration

The college has been able to diagnose the cause of the power outage affecting several campus buildings. Repairs are expected to extend through the night and will necessitate us to shut off power to additional buildings. Because of this, the college is cancelling Monday classes after 3:30 p.m. and all classes on Tuesday. Classes will resume Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. Administrative offices will remain open.

Madelyn Curtis ’18

Name: Madelyn Curtin
Major: Music Education – Voice
Hometown: Lawrenceville, NJ
Year of Graduation: 2018

Student Spotlight: Madelyn is extremely involved as a Music Education major. She participates in multiple ensembles in the Department of Music and goes above and beyond with all of her responsibilities. The skills she has learned throughout her time in the Department of Music carry over into her extracurricular activities on campus, as well.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am going to teach music.

What advice can you offer incoming students?
Find what you’re passionate about and focus all your efforts into being the best you can possibly be.

My most meaningful and memorable experience is being in the Trentones a cappella group. I got to music direct this group for 3 years and in my senior year, we were able to advance to semifinals at the Kimmel Center in the annual ICCA competition. This would not have been possible without years of hard work and dedication to excellence within the group.
