“1,460” – Graphic Design
Eighteen graphic designers share their undergraduate experience qualitatively through their work, with each individual portfolio offering a unique window into the designer’s development, style, and personality, and quantitatively using the title 1,460 Days as the numeric representation of our time transitioning from students to professionals.”That On Which We Are Standing” – Fine Art & Lens Based
The works in this exhibition have been created by ten individuals, each with unique viewpoints informed by their personal narratives. Unified by their shared education, each artist personalizes the tools and ways of seeing that they have learned at TCNJ to confront issues of the body, identity, mapping, and representation. Over the past four years, the group has shifted their approaches to artmaking, embraced cross-disciplinary practices, confronted complex topics, and continually taken new risks. Versatility in medium, technique, and approach to a project allows these artists to find the ideal language and forms to express that on which they are standing. On view Wednesday, April 26th – Friday, May 19th in the Art and Interactive Multimedia Building Galleries at The College of New Jersey.
The TCNJ Art Galleries are open Sunday 1-3PM and Tues/Wed/Thurs 12-7PM
