TCNJ Alert: Power update: class cancelation, housing, dining, registration

The college has been able to diagnose the cause of the power outage affecting several campus buildings. Repairs are expected to extend through the night and will necessitate us to shut off power to additional buildings. Because of this, the college is cancelling Monday classes after 3:30 p.m. and all classes on Tuesday. Classes will resume Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. Administrative offices will remain open.

TCNJ Alumni Kelsey Long Wins NAEA Award

TCNJ Art Education alumni  Kelsey Long from Mt. Laurel, NJ was recently awarded the prestigious 2013 Higher Education Student Achievement Award. This award from the National Art Education Association is typically bestowed to one or two art pre-service teachers each year. Hundreds of art education students from all over the nation are recommended and apply for the award.

Dr. Lisa LaJevic, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Art Education at TCNJ, nominated Ms. Long in September with a written letter, and she was then asked to complete a thorough application. The award will be presented to Kelsey during the 2013 NAEA National Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, March 7-10, 2013.
